The Oskar J. W. Hansen Archives is a passion project started in 2020 by Aaron Street. Aaron had been fascinated by Oskar’s Hoover Dam sculptures for many years and had a large photo of the Winged Figures of the Republic in his office when he finally got curious about Oskar’s story and other work.
His initial research of Oskar Hansen made it clear that his fascinating story needs to be discovered and publicly told.
Aaron is now working with Oskar Hansen’s family to research and collect information about Oskar Hansen and his art with plans to publish a biography and create public awareness of one of the most interesting, important, and as-yet uncelebrated artists of the 20th century.
